Buildings
The Farm of Hope started in 2002 without any building. Orphans were being taught their lessons under trees in Kiliba while seating on big stones collected from the Kiliba main river.
It is only after the visit of Henk, a friend dutch journalist that the adventure of building started. He was shocked to see children seating on stones under trees. When it was raining, there was no class. After his visit, he got in touch with a wonderful couple responsible of Focus on education Holland, Mary and Jacques den Ridder.
Primary School
The couple committed itself to fundraise for the building. Focus on education started with one building first, then two, then three and by the grace of God today, we have 6 classes, one administrative bloc, a library and good toilets.
Our gratitude goes to the responsible of Focus on education and all those who trusted them for the building of these classrooms which are today the pride of orphans of Kiliba and of all the population of Kiliba.
Secondary and medical schools
During one of our FOCHI meeting together with the committee of Farm of Hope, it was decided that we continue to provide free education to orphans especially knowledge that will enable them get quickly employment after their education. We decided that Medical school was the programme that could help the orphans to get employment without going to university.
We are now asking all our sponsors to see how we can build 9 more classrooms for that purpose. Already, Focus on education has been able to buy a plot where children will be playing while waiting the construction of the secondary and medical school.
We are sure that the dream we started will be honored by God and every body who invested in this adventure will reap a great reward, whihc of course can not be seen today.
May God continue to richly bless every person and organisation who is involved in this project, who was involved and will be involved !
Thank you !
